A young man finds himself on the wrong side of the Law after ordering food and drinks at a city hotel before trying to allegedly escape with somebody else phone.
On Tuesday, Henry Ocholla the accused person, appeared before Kibera senior principal magistrate Esther Boke and pleaded not guilty to the allegations.
He is accused of committing the offense at a hotel in Kilimani, Nairobi County.
He is said to have ordered beverages and meals while in the presence of an insurance business employee who was counselling him on financial concerns.
According to the charge sheet submitted to the court, the accused pledged to pay the Sh10,000 amount but failed to do so.
He was apprehended by police officers while attempting to flee with the financial advisor’s phone.
Ocholla was released on Sh15,000 cash bail with the surety of the same amount.
