A man has lost Sh596,000 after being drugged by a woman he met at a high-end bar in Mombasa.
The victim, who was on business, opted to unwind at the club before meeting the woman who spiked his drink and took money from his bank accounts, according to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).
The man was captivated to one of Mombasa’s babes who had swaggered past his table in well-calculated steps after having several drinks alone.”
Before another man put his eyes on her, the man who was deeply taken by her beauty beckoned her to join him.
According to the DCI, the victim and the suspect took a cab in the early hours of the following day and were dropped off at some serviced apartments where the man had reserved a room.
“They had a shower before going back to the hotel,” the agency added, “where he drank a glass of juice that put him unconscious a few minutes later.”
The guy remained unconscious until the apartment’s steward knocked on his door on Sunday afternoon, according to the report.
“After seeing his mobile phones, laptop, ATM cards, and other belongings missing, he learnt he had become the next ‘Mchele’ victim.”
DCI sleuths have launched a manhunt for the woman.
