Mombasa Court Declines Bail For Nigerian Drug Baron

A Nigerian man accused of smuggling Ksh 1.9 million worth of heroin was denied bail by a Mombasa court because it was deemed that he posed a flight risk.

Martin Ike was extradited after the DPP submitted a successful request for his return to face prosecution.

Ike and the other defendants were accused of bringing 647.7 grams of heroin into Kenya from Tanzania. Interpol apprehended him in Nigeria.

SRM Mombasa Ike was imprisoned at Shimo la Tewa under an order from the HonorableVincent Adet. The case will be brought up on January 17, 2023
