Mason Greenwood Settles For Fresh Start In Getafe

Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood trained with Spanish La Liga club Getafe for the first time on Tuesday, despite facing allegations of abuse involving a young woman.

Greenwood, 21, was acquired by Madrid side Getafe on Friday until the end of the season.

After a six-month internal investigation, Manchester United decided to allow Greenwood to rebuild his career away from Old Trafford.

Just before the transfer window closed, he was allowed to move to the club in the Madrid suburbs for the rest of the season.

Getafe coach Jose Bordalas has promised the club will help Greenwood find “his best level” and that the club will help him recover his best level.

“The club has taken appropriate measures to address the situation, and Greenwood is a free person and footballer of the highest level who comes to Getafe with enormous hope.”
