Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr. Fred Matiang’i has cancelled the Christmas holiday for National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) staff until their logbook fraud mess is sorted.
Matiang’i is reported to have read them the riot act and told them to have their house in order.
“Until you rectify this problem, there will be no Christmas for the workforce.” “It’s a shame that the authority is always in the press in a negative light,” he remarked.
The board has been given two weeks to get to the bottom of the mess, CS stated that he will return to check on the progress in two weeks.
As of yesterday, DCI reported that some officials were absent from the office.
On Monday and Tuesday, detectives went to the NTSA offices to conduct investigations.
