EACC Denies Links To Matiangi Raid

The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission has denied any involvement in the Wednesday night police raid on Former CS Fred Matiang’i’s Karen home.

EACC CEO Twalib Mbarak told the Star that there were no such plans.

“It is not our fault. Please, no EACC detectives. We have nothing on him,” Twalib said

Earlier, it was widely reported that the officers who raided the Former CS residence were from the EACC.

For unknown reasons, the officers allegedly planned to raid the house and arrest the former CS.

According to an EACC official, the raid could have been staged by the Asset Recovery Agency.

ARA appears to have been investigating Matiangi and two of his former associates.
