MCA Aspirant’s Body Recovered From Kijabe Forest

The body of Joseph Njau Ng'endo, who was running for the Njiru MCA seat in Kasarani, Nairobi, is the fifth found as police link murdered youths to drugs and online scamming.

The body of an aspiring MCA candidate has been discovered from Ngubi Forest in Lari amid investigations into the murders of people being dumped in the area.

The body of Joseph Njau Ng’endo, who was running for the Njiru MCA seat in Kasarani, Nairobi, is the fifth found as police link murdered youths to drugs and online scamming.

According to police, the aspiring politician had a dark past that included drug trafficking.

He was arrested in 2019 after being found with five kilograms of heroin shortly after returning to the country from Uganda’s Kampala. He is believed to be part of a larger heroin distribution network in Nairobi, having obtained the drugs from a Nigerian in Kampala.

His body was taken to City Mortuary.

Other bodies that had earlier been discovered were those of Fred Obare, Frank Obegi, Moses Nyachae and Elijah Omeka.

They went missing on Tuesday last week in Kasarani area, Nairobi. The bodies were found in Lari, Kiambu, and in Kiserian, Kajiado. Njau went missing on June 17.

According to police, they were accused of being behind a crypto currency fraud that primarily targeted victims outside of the country.

It is believed they disappeared after fleecing their latest victim of Sh1 million in bitcoin.
