Migori Police Intercept 600Kgs of Bhang From Tanzania


In a major drug bust, police in Migori County, Kenya, apprehended a suspected trafficker and seized a significant amount of bhang.

The operation, conducted on June 12, 2024, by officers from Isebania Police Station acting on a tip-off, led to the arrest of one Joseph Sabora.

Authorities recovered 12 sacks containing approximately 600 kilograms of suspected bhang. The seized narcotics are estimated to have a street value of Ksh. 18,000,000.

In addition to the bhang, a motor vehicle with registration number KDG 800 P was also confiscated by the police.

Investigations are ongoing to determine the source and intended destination of the narcotics.
