Mijikenda elders want the government to allow them to treat Coronavirus patients in the ancient traditional ways– By Prudence Wanza
The elders drawn from the Malindi District Cultural Association said Coronavirus is similar to disease that occurred in the 1950’s called ‘Kivuti’
According to the elders the whenever one contrcted the disease they had to kept in a separate from everybody else and treated accrding to the symptoms they show.
The treatment was composed of traditional herbs and for patients who seek early treatment after six days the disease could compress.
The elders are urging the government to allow them covid 19 using traditional herbs since the symptoms are similar tothose of ‘kivuti’.
