Mike Sonko Medically Fit To Stand Trial For Graft Charges

Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has been declared medically fit to stand trial, according to an assessment presented in court. – By Gerald Gekara.

The assessment that was presented at Milimani court, reported that his health condition does not bar him from attending and following court proceedings.

In the report, it was confirmed that the former governor Mike Sonko is receiving treatment for a bipolar condition, which the assessment further dictates, does not harm him.

The court will proceed with his corruption charges on 29th March.

On Tuesday, March 16, all his six lawyers quit the Ksh10 million graft case where they accused the court of unfairness.

Early February, Sonko had fired his initial legal team and appointed a new team led by Khaminwa to preside over the case.
