A middle aged man was today arraigned at Milimani Law courts in Nairobi where he was charged with stealing contrary to the Law.
Paul Sinino Wawire is charged that on June 11,2022 at Mlolongo phase 2 in Machakos County, stole one bra, two panties, four trousers, three skirts, two blouses among other clothing all valued at Ksh 31,000 the property of Awuor Faith Sharon.
According to the court records, Miss Awuor who is a Ugandan National, met the accused person on June 2022, he pretended to assist in offering her a job as a househelp at unknown place within Nairobi.
It is further said that he took advantage of miss Awuor who seemed to trust him so much and was not familiar with the place.
The accused is said to have lured her to Nairobi along Afya Centre where he claimed to connect her to an employer.
In the process,he requested to help her carry the bag she had been carrying which contained all her property. It is however reported that he disappeared after receiving the bag prompting the said woman scream on top of her voice attracting members of the public who assisted her report the matter to Kamukunji Police Station.
The accused was arrested in his rental house in Mlolongo and the said stolen clothes recovered.
Appearing before Magistrate Zainab Abdul, the accused denied the charges and was released on a cash bail of Ksh 30,000.
