Diana Clara Ojenge, an actress on the famed Nairobi Diaries show, has been accused with acquiring Sh152,550 in credit by deception after dining and drinking pricey liquor at a city restaurant.

On Friday, the actress appeared in Kibera Law Courts and pled not guilty to the accusations.
The court records show that she checked into the hotel on May 26 and 27.

She then ordered two chicken breasts worth Sh3,000, one cocktail drink worth Sh2,000, and two bottles of 300ml coke worth Sh500.

She also purchased a one-liter bottle of mineral water for Sh400 and three bottles of Red Bull energy drink for Sh1,650.

The actress also allegedly ordered six bottles of Belaire Luxe (750ml) worth at Sh75,000 and seven bottles of Hennessy VS (750ml) valued at Sh70,000, which she allegedly consumed with a group of pals.

When asked to pay, Ojenge said her bank had some problems and failed to pay.
She however denied the charges before Kibera senior principal magistrate Monica Maroro.

Her lawyer Mwihaki Nganga told the court that the actress was not a flight risk and should be released on bail.

“Your honor, my client is not a flight risk and she will not abscond from courts, ” Nganga said.
The magistrate agreed and released her on Sh100,000 bond with an alternative cash bail of Sh50,000.

The case will be mentioned on June 16.
