Modern Coast Offers Passengers Alternative Transport Means

The company praised its customers' loyalty and support. It reassured them that the difficulties they were experiencing were only temporary.

Following the suspension of their operating license, Modern Coast Bus Company sought alternative modes of transportation for passengers who had booked their travel tickets rather than refunding cash.

On January 1, Modern Coast requested that passengers with advance tickets visit the nearest booking office on the date of travel.

The company praised its customers’ loyalty and support. It reassured them that the difficulties they were experiencing were only temporary.

“Unlike some relationships, ours with our customers is akin to Romeo and Juliet. Strong as the great Chinese walls.

“Every year comes with its challenges and wins, and you’ve been with us every step of the way. Whatever 2023 brings, we’ll enjoy it together. The doors which were closed shall be opened,” stated the company

Despite Transport Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen’s suspension of its license, Modern Coast clarified that operations along international routes would continue.

These include the Nairobi-Kampala, Nairobi-Kigali, and Nairobi-Bujumbura routes, as well as alternate routes. Local routes continue to be inaccessible.

Nonetheless, the country’s parcel services remain operational.
