Two alleged gangsters caught in the act have been lynched by an irate mob.
According to Changamwe police, the two were cornered by members of the public while attempting to break into a property in the Voxin neighbourhood.
Before being confronted by the mob, the 5-man group was plotting a break-in when a resident raised the alarm.
Police have launched a manhunt for the three suspects who escaped the scene.
The bodies of the two have been brought to the mortuary at Coast General Hospital.
