Regeree Designator Pokes Fun At Mourinho

Rocchi also made fun of Jose Mourinho, the manager of Roma, in reference to Mourinho's remarks made after Roma's defeat to Udinese.

In order to discuss the relationships between coaches and match officials, Gianluca Rocchi, the head referee designator for Serie A and Serie B, met with the Italian federation earlier today.

Rocchi also made fun of Jose Mourinho, the manager of Roma, in reference to Mourinho’s remarks made after Roma’s defeat to Udinese.

“Mourinho is very, very intelligent,” Rocchi remarked. “I wouldn’t say he wanted to divert attention away from his side’s defeat, but something along those lines.”

Finally, Rocchi made an appeal to all technicians in Italy, “I ask of them to take a minute to understand that whenever they choose to make remarks about a referee they create more tension.”
