“The Mombasa Governor has proved beyond any reasonable doubt that he is the single most existential threat to the unity and eventual liberation of the Coast Region. He has also proved that he has very little understanding of the ideological, historical and political economy and philosophy of the Coast region,” said the statement.

Mr Baya said he has now been forced to start researching on the ODM Deputy party leader over his roots and background so that he may see why he doesn’t understand coastal issues.

“Historically and ideologically the Coast region has never been safe with the Kenyatta and Odinga union dating back to the days of Kanu and that’s why Ronald Gedion Ngala called on other leaders from Western Kenya and Rift Valley to form KADU. They went to Lancaster talks and succeeded against the big tribes. I cannot even fathom an imagination of the monumental disaster for the Coast region had Governor Joho been present at Lancaster and probably leading the negotiation on behalf of the region,” said Mr Baya.

The Kilifi North MP said Joho and his family have continued to reap big economically from the political capital and that’s why Joho would do anything for status quo.

“Let the Mombasa Governor be informed that Coast Based National Party is already here and waiting unveiling at the appropriate time. The party will not cause a division but will consolidate our democratic gains and our long struggles as a region and separate the patriots from the traitors,” he said adding “The launching of a Coast Based national party is our democratic right and not a favour from ODM,” the MP added.

The statement said that the realization of a Coast Based Party dream is what has shocked the Mombasa Governor and that battle will be between the Coast Based National party (the patriots) against foreign party insurgents (Traitors).

“In 2022, it will be battle Royale. Msambweni by-election was just a precursor of the rising Pwani and Mijikenda Nationalism, 2022 we will put the final nail on the Coffin of that foreign party which has continually used the Coast as a pawn in a game of chess. And for your information Hatuhami ODM. Tunakalia Deposit,” said the statement.
