Mugithi artist mighty Salim has passed on a day after he hosted his brother’s 5th memorial Salim Junior. According to his family Salim succumbed to diabetes.
Mighty Salim was diagnosed with diabetes in mid-2003 and in 2018 he found out that he had kidney failure and then began undergoing dialysis.
His death had people from all over paying tribute to the artist. His brother died in January 23rd 2016.

Many upcoming kikuyu artists attributes their careers to them saying he motivated them into doing better and being the best version of themselves.
Mugithi without his mugithi was not an occasion.
