According to Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Peter Munya, the coronation of National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi as Mt. Kenya Spokesperson has no political ramifications.
According to Munya, Muturi’s appointment as a spokesman on Saturday may not amount to much because its tasks are now unknown.
“No region has a single spokesperson. Does it mean that when he (Muturi) speaks, the rest of us will have to keep quiet? What exactly is the role of the spokesperson. And where is his office?” CS Munya posed.
In reality, the CS says that the coronation was nothing more than a political circus with unknown intents and purposes.
Munya believes Muturi’s new role is purely cultural and should not be seen as giving him an advantage in his bid to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta as GEMA leader.
