Three Ukambani Governors, as well as over 5,000 other leaders from the region, have decided to back Raila Odinga in his fifth attempt at the president in the next General Elections.
This follows conversations with Governors Alfred Mutua (Machakos), Charity Kaluki Ngilu (Kitui), and Kivutha Kibwana Governor Makueni, as well as Chairman SEKEB, to ensure that the Kamba vote is put entirely in the hands of Azimio La Umoja.
The three have had a number of consultation meetings in order to develop a thorough campaign strategy that will secure the region’s complete representation in the future government.
The Governors picked Azimio la Umoja as the most trustworthy vehicle for bringing people together for shared prosperity for all Kenyans, according to the Governors. “Their manifesto is directed toward this aspiration, and we as professionals and leaders of the Kamba Nation identify with it,” they stated.
The trio stated that the community must be represented in the future government after being left out in the cold for the previous ten years.
They urged other like-minded leaders to create a blueprint for Azimio la Umoja’s implementation in order to mobilize support.
The leaders have planned a series of events beginning on February 14th, 2022, in Makueni, followed by Machakos and Kitui, to rally support for Azimio la Umoja.
