Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua has appeared before Kilimani Police station to report a threat to his life by one DP William Ruto, Hon. Aden Duale, and Legislator Kipchumba Murkomen.
In a statement on his Twitter platform, the governor expressed his concern over what he termed as constant threats against him whenever he tried to speak out against national ills.
“I am putting it before Kenyans so that in case anything happens to me, the three can be held accountable. ” Said the governor.
In his encounter with the Deputy President, Dr. Alfred Mutua says the deputy president vowed to ‘crush him’.
“Wewe sasa lazima nikugonge, Nitakugonga (Now I Must crush you. I will crush you) ” said the statement recorded by Dr. Alfred Mutua.
While addressing Murkomen and Duale’s threat, Dr. Alfred Mutua attested that the senate majority leader confronted the governor at the BBI launch event, claiming that he was attacking the DP.
“You have been attacking the DP… Ukiguza DP, Unatuguza sisi (When you touch the DP, You touch us). ” The statement read in part.
The Ukambani governor has been on record in supporting the president’s effort to unite Kenyans, and fight against corruption in the country.
