Man Charged For Punching Father’s ‘Sidechick’

The woman intervened and recused the man, and as a result, the accused is said to have assaulted her, pushed and banged her against the surfaces, injuring her.

The man who was in the company of his father enjoying dinner alongside a woman presumed to be his father’s side chick. He was charged in court with uprooting the woman’s tooth.

Rodney Kipkemboi Kebeney was charged with causing grievous harm to the father, Honey Karimi Kilingo, in violation of the penal code.

However, the 31-year-old man denied the charge before Kibera senior principal magistrate Phillip Mutua.
According to the charge sheet, the accused committed the crime on September 5 at Madaraka estate in Nairobi County’s Langata sub-county.

According to court documents, the accused person allegedly questioned his father about why he has not been financially assisting him.

The accused was said to be a little tipsy at the time of the crime. He apparently called his father names and even tried to punch him.

She suffered injuries to her head, hands, and upper limbs and her tooth was broken in the commotion.

The court released him on Sh500,000 cash bail with a surety of the same amount.
The case will be mentioned on September 22,2022 for pretrial.
