Naivasha Member of Parliament Jayne Kihara has dismissed social media claims suggesting that she has left former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s political camp.
In a statement issued on Thursday, January 29, Kihara blamed government-aligned bloggers for circulating what she described as false and misleading reports about her political position.
“I see government bloggers are now on my case. Someone must remind them who Jayne Kihara is in our Kenyan Politics.
“I think they’re used to dealing with politicians whose only language in politics is money, and they now assume every politician has a price tag,” Kihara stated.
The legislator reaffirmed her loyalty to Gachagua and stated that she has no intention of returning to President Ruto’s political camp, insisting that her stance remains unchanged despite online speculation.

According to Kihara, her political position is rooted in a broader push against corruption, authoritarianism, extrajudicial killings, and what she described as a culture of dishonesty in the country.
“For avoidance of doubt, I left the lying camp a long time ago, and I never left anything that belongs to me there that can make me go back,” she said.
She emphasized that the struggle goes beyond individual political figures and is focused on safeguarding the interests of current and future generations, adding that she is prepared to make personal sacrifices for the nation.
“The journey to liberate this Country from the shackles of Corruption, dictatorship, extrajudicial killings, and perpetual lies is not about Jayne Kihara or Rigathi Gachagua but about the current and future generations. Some of us are ready to sacrifice anything for the sake of this Nation,” Kihara added.
The remarks come days after Manyatta MP Gitonga Mukunji also dismissed claims that he was planning to abandon Gachagua.
The MP was responding to allegations by Mathira MP Eric Wamumbi, who had suggested that Mukunji would soon part ways with Gachagua and his political allies.
