Sauti Sol, a Kenyan boy band, won the category for Best African Group. They had won the same award in AFRIMA’s 2015 competition.

Sauti Sol rushed to Instagram hours after their win to thank fans for their support and voting for them.

Shanah Manjeru, a 13-year-old gospel singer from Kenya, won the title of Best African Female Artiste in Inspirational Music with her song God Will Make a Way, making her the youngest AFRIMA winner ever.
