Nipssey Killer Convicted Of First Degree Murder

Holder admitted to shooting the rapper, but his lawyers argued that he did so in "heated passion" and was only guilty of manslaughter.

On Wednesday (July 6), a Los Angeles jury found Eric Ronald Holder Jr. guilty of first-degree murder in the 2019 killing of Grammy-winning rapper Nipsey Hussle.

Following a week-long trial, jurors agreed with prosecutors that the shooting in a Los Angeles strip mall in March 2019 was premeditated murder.

Holder admitted to shooting the rapper, but his lawyers argued that he did so in “heated passion” and was only guilty of manslaughter.

The shooting occurred after an altercation between two men who had known each other for years outside Hussle’s clothing store, The Marathon, in South Central Los Angeles.

Prosecutors claim Holder returned with two handguns and shot Hussle more than ten times, enraged by accusations that he was a “snitch.”
