NMS Seals Off Uhuru Park For Renovations

Residents of Nairobi will soon be unable to visit Uhuru Park and Central Park for at least three months to pave way for renovations.

This comes as Nairobi MCAs adopted a resolution on Tuesday to repair two renowned public parks, citing their poor condition.

The parks should be closed immediately, according to Majority Leader Abdi Guyo’s proposal, so that they may be rehabilitated and restored to their former beauty.

Mr Guyo explained that the motion was required because of a proposal from Nairobi Metropolitan Services (NMS) and City Hall.
