Notorious duo appear before Kibera court

Convicts Joseph Kimathi Ngugi and Kelvin Mwangi appeared today before chief principal magistrate Joyce Gandani in Kibera law courts with charges of robbery with violence.

The two were said to have purloined from one Mr. William in June 2016 and escaped with perfume, HTC mobile phone, and rubber shoes.

After a trace down by police officers from Kilimani police station they were arrested in the company of others not presented in court while in Mwangi’s house.

Osman Katindi, an officer from the DCI, told the court that scrutiny was conducted in the house and the two were found in possession of the lost items, pistol guns and four rolls of a bhang.

Mr. William confirmed to the police that indeed the lost item was his. At the time of identification, Kelvin was wearing lost rubber shoes.

A forensic analysis was conducted at the pistol guns and was found out to be imitations. Joseph and Kelvin are currently out on bond. In her verdict, chief magistrate told the convicts that they have a case to answer.

They are expected again in court for defense case on March 4th, 2020.
