The National Police Service (NPS) has joined the world in celebrating the International Day of Peace.
In a statement issued on Twitter, NPS said that this is a day devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace as declared by the United Nations General Assembly.
“The theme of this year’s global event is, “End racism. Build peace,” NPS tweeted.
As the lead agency in security and safety in Kenya, the NPS has continuously played an integral role in domestic and global peace initiatives and missions.
“Today’s theme is a reminder to all Kenyans and the entire world on the immense responsibility and influence we all have in ending racism and promoting peace,” NPS added.
