A man has killed his brother in Nyeri over a bizarre argument triggered by a three seater couch.
Police say the incident happened in Nyeri’s Kamakwa area.
According to the said Police report, the assailant allegedly acted under the instructions of his mother.
Joseph Maina Kariuki, 36, is reported to have gone to the house of his younger brother Elias Muriithi Kariuki to repossess the contagious couch, a move that the later was opposed to.
A quarrel then ensued and the duo started a brawl.
In the process, Muriithi, 33 cut his elder brother mercilessly with a machete.
He then smashed his head with a rock.
The suspect surrendered to Mathari police post where he was detained over the incident.
