The Thirdway Alliance received a cold welcome to the Nyeri county after it was reported that Nyeri county assembly members rejected the controversial Punguza Mzigo Bill.
Led by Kirimukuyu Ward Representative Muriithi Ndagita, the MCAs trashed the bill, saying it is sponsored on a mission to diminish the National Assembly.
“The Senate has been given so much power in this bill and it begs the question, is this bill sponsored by the Senate to undermine the National Assembly? ” he asked.
Ekuru Aukot has rubbished the Hidden Motive claims, adding that the bill was meant to tackle over-representation in leadership, which leads to massive loopholes in revenue allocation and budget.
In a tweet sent out to the Public, Kirinyaga county has applauded Nyeri’s actions, claiming that ‘Mt. Kenya’ is fully behind Uhuru and Raila’s building bridges initiative.
Third way alliance will be touring the Uasin Gichu county for debate in the county assembly.
