ODM pounce on Ruto team as Msambweni race tightens

The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) led by its Deputy Party Leader and Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho has pitched camp in Msambweni, drumming support for their candidate Omar Boga.- By Ramadhan Kambi

Governor Joho while addressing rallies said that ODM opponents are trying to use tribal narratives to divide voters.

“Don’t play games with people’s lives. There are facing serious problems like unemployment, land wrangles and these can only be solved by electing a sober leader who has the interest of his people at heart,” he said.

“Mr adding that Mr Boga is the right candidate to bring people together and steer development agendas.

Mr Joho urged residents to vote for Mr Boga because he is already in the government and it will easy for him to work other leaders for the sake of the residents.

“Don’t vote for a candidate who has no party and in case of a problem where will he get the support from? For Boga will seek help from President Uhuru Kenyatta and Mr Odinga as well as other government officials to solve problems facing his people,” he said.

Mr Boga said as an experienced leader he will focus on promoting tourism and fishing to improve people’s lives.

“Our constituency is endowed with enormous resources and its only requires a visionary leader who will empower the people and reap the benefits to drive locals away from languishing in poverty,” he said, adding that he poses the qualities of a good leader.
