Oguna: If You Have A Flu, Test For COVID

Kenyans have been advised to wear masks and get COVID-19 tests if they are experiencing flu-like symptoms.

“If you are sneezing or coughing, please remember to protect others, especially when in public settings,” government spokesperson Cyrus Oguna said.

Such safeguards, according to Oguna, should be taken, particularly as the number of COVID-19 cases continues to climb.

He stated that wearing a mask “will safeguard others, especially while in public settings if you are sneezing and coughing.”

His remarks come as laboratory technicians have urged the government not to ease up on bulk COVID-19 testing, claiming that present data is inaccurate.
