One Killed As Bandits In Police Uniform Raid Village

Bandits dressed as police reservists have killed one person in Baringo South.

The bandits are thought to have come from the nearby Arror, Marakwet West.

According to police reports, the bandits shot two people, before stealing more than 200 heads of cattle.

The attack has increased tension between the Tugen and Marakwet communities, which had previously coexisted peacefully and even conducted joint business.

The Kerio Valley has heard many cries, and yesterday’s death has increased the number of those who pass away there, earning the valley the nickname “valley of death.”
