Today Police officers in Isiolo have arrested a couple for allegedly subjecting their six-month-old daughter to FGM.
The parents who are believed to have circumcised their six-month-old daughter are in police custody awaiting arraignment in court to face the full wrath of the Law.
According to Collins Sainna, the area police chief, the mother of the infant is currently caring for the child under police surveillance and will be arraigned in court with her husband once the child heals.
The baby is being treated at Isiolo Referral Hospital in critical condition.
