A man has been arraigned before the Milimani Law Courts and charged with stealing Sh378,000 from a restaurant in Nairobi.
Julius Mwanzia appeared before court facing a charge of stealing contrary to Section 268(1) as read with Section 275 of the Penal Code.
According to the charge sheet, the offence is alleged to have occurred on the night of January 4 and 5, 2026, at Maharaja Restaurant in Parklands, Westlands Sub-County.
Mwanzia is accused of stealing Sh378,000, the property of Deepchan Josh.
He was arrested on January 10, 2026, and presented before court on January 12, 2026.
The court ordered that the accused be remanded in custody as investigations continue.
The complainant in the case is Maharaja Restaurant, through the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).
The matter will be mentioned on a date to be set by the court for further directions.
