Security was Tuesday tightened around Parliament Buildings where President Uhuru Kenyatta is expected to deliver his 8th State of the Nation Address to a Joint Sitting of Parliament from 2 pm in the afternoon.

Police said they may redirect some vehicles and close roads near Parliament then and want motorists to if possible use alternative routes.

This would be the eighth address before President Kenyatta’s 10-year term in office expires.

The president will highlight his achievements so far and give the way forward.
