Pastor Ezekiel Forgives ’Sinners’ Who Froze His Bank Accounts

Embattled Pastor Ezekiel Odero has taken a spiritual move to forgive all those he believed were behind his current woes after the court unfroze his 30 bank accounts and seven M-Pesa lines.

Odero’s comments, made through his lawyer Danstan Omari, came only hours after the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) told the court that he is now free to utilize his MPesa lines and bank accounts while investigations into money laundering continue.

“We thank the DCI headquarters in Nairobi for granting our client access to the lines and his bank accounts.” Pastor Odero has forgiven those who are seeking to punish him and the Christian religion, according to specific instructions.

“We also appreciate the efforts of the five banks, Safaricom, and the court in allowing Christians to practice their faith,” Omari told Milimani Magistrate Ben Mark Ekhubi.

Further, the lawyer added that the instructions to the banks were followed by the lenders, proving that the church is now fulfilling its financial responsibilities as well as school tuition for 5,000 pupils who were absent from Kilifi International School.

He added that the samples of the holy water and handkerchiefs that the police took away on Sunday following a raid in his New Life Prayer Church have been taken to the government chemist for analysis to examine if there is any criminal linkage.
