Televangelist Ezekiel Odero of New Life Prayer Centre and Church has been arrested and the prayer center shut down.
The preacher who has been linked with the controversial man of the cloth, Paul Mackenzie, was nabbed over alleged indoctrination of the public.
On Tuesday, Pastor Ezekiel was grilled by detectives over links with Mackenzie who is currently in jail.
He denied the claims before Kilifi detectives who told him they will summon him if and when needed.
The preacher recorded a statement during the operation run by the Kilifi DCIO on both his and pastor Mackenzie’s suspected connections.
The DCI contingent also inspected the Milele Funeral Home in Mavueni, Kilifi County, which is situated near Ezekiel’s church, and interrogated the morgue attendants.
The attendants refused to discuss what they were asked but argued they had cooperated well with the police.
