Peter Karanja , a suspect in the brutal murder of Dutch Billionaire, Tob Cohen, has been granted a cash bail of Sh.2million or a bond of Sh.4m.
Justice Daniel Ogembo ruled that there were no compelling reasons to deny Karanja bail ordered him not to go near the house of the late Cohen in Lower Kabete.
Karanja has also been ordered to deposit his passport in court and not to contact any prosecution witnesses in the in the matter.
The case will be consolidated with that of Sarah Waimu on 12th November, 2019. Wairimu is also accused of killing Tob Cohen, her husband.
Karanja was arrested on 11th September,2019 in connection to Cohen’s murder. Karanja and Wairimu are alleged to have worked together in carrying out the murder.
Cohens body was found in in an empty septic tank on 13th September after going missing for over 50days.
