The family of amateur rally driver Maxine Wahome has fired Lawyer Mausangi and replaced him with SC Philip Murgor ahead of the murder plea.
Lawyer Mugor who addressed the media at Kilimani police station says he has reviewed the documents and could not understand why the prosecution settled on the murder charge.
” Maxine is completely innocent, I have reviewed the file and I could not understand why the prosecution preferred murder charges against her,” said Murgor.
Maxine is set to take a plea of murder tomorrow before the high.
Philip Murgor said that he has applied to the court to hear physically instead of the slated virtual session so that they can argue exhaustively.
The lawyer also noted that they are ready to have the matter expedited speedily so that Maxine can resume a normal life.
Murgor said Maxine doesn’t understand why she is being held.
Earlier the suspect was taken for psychiatric examination and found fit to take a plea against the murder charges.
