Police Arrest House Help Who Stole One-Year-Old Baby In Homa Bay

Police officers in Migori County, in collaboration with members of the public, on Wednesday afternoon intercepted a house girl who was allegedly fleeing with her employer’s one-year-old toddler.

According to police, the suspect, Agnes Atieno Onyango, was left with the baby boy within Sango estate in Homa Bay County while her employer went to work.

According to Suna East sub-county OCPD Ben Kemboi, the nanny left the house with the toddler on Wednesday morning and was en route to Tanzania when she was apprehended.

Abdul Azziz Jillow, the child’s father, stated that he had only stayed with the new house manager for two days prior to the incident.

Jillow went on to say that he suspected the woman had ulterior motives but hired her anyway as she appeared desperate for work.

However, the police chief has warned parents against hiring nannies without first checking their backgrounds.
