Four suspected drug traffickers were arrested in Wajir County on Friday, and police discovered a 10-kilogram marijuana shipment in the vehicle they were travelling in.
Jibril Ali Noor, 38, Mohammed Abdikadir Mohammud, 30, Adan Ali Abdullahi, 21, and Idow Abdirahaman Adow, 70, were apprehended in Wajir North after police stopped their Toyota Landcruiser, registration number KAE 514G.
“It is believed that the four were making their way back home having distributed more bales around the County,” the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) said in a statement on X.
They are currently being held at Bute Police Station pending processing and arraignment on Monday, February 17.
