Police in Kisumu are looking for a man who is suspected of shooting and killing a police bodyguard assigned to Raila Odinga’s wife, Ida Odinga.
According to Kisumu County Police Commander Alphonse Wambua, the suspect, Collins Okundi, shot the dead twice in the head and leg.
Wambua said the suspect disarmed the officer and took hold of his pistol before perpetrating the crime at Victoria Gardens condominium in Kisumu central subcounty’s Uzima district.
According to Wambua, the deceased was with a woman when they arrived at the flat, and as they approached the suspect, the incident occurred.
