Machakos senator Boniface Kabaka, now fighting for his life at the Nairobi Hospital ICU, checked into 3 Dee Apartments with Esther Nthenya Muli. She has since been arrested.
Police want to charge the teacher with attempted murder, after the incident, which has gone viral on social media.
Kabaka, a lawyer by profession, is spending his fourth day in ICU after the incident.
It is not clear whether the senator is a lover of Nthenya. The Government chemist is checking fluids specimen to confirm whether there was intimacy between the two.
Last week, Kitui Senator Enock Wambua visited Kabaka and urged for prayers for his colleague
