Private detective Jane Mugo alleges she was attacked by unknown people along the Eldoret-Nakuru highway on Thursday night, and detectives in Eldoret are investigating.
According to the self-proclaimed Spy Queen, armed men in two vehicles stopped her car at the Ainabkoi-Kapsabet intersection and beat her with a rungu on the head and hands.
Kevin Okoth, her driver, and Newton Manyana, another passenger, were reportedly kidnapped in the event.
Mugo claims the assailants left her by the roadside in her car, a black Toyota Land Cruiser with the license plate KCN 222K.
Passers-by rescued her and transported her to the Kondoo Police Station to make a report, then to the Burnt Forest County Hospital.
