Police retrieve bloodied clothes, receipts of Slain Catholic Priest

Police officers attached to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) on Sunday recovered bank receipts belonging to murdered Catholic Priest Michael Maingi Kyengo.

The receipts were found in a house rented by Michael Mutunga, the main suspect in the gruesome murder.

Household items worth Ksh.60, 000, and blood-stained clothes and supermarket reciepts were also retrieved from the house and taken to the government chemist for further analysis.

The body of the Catholic priest from Machakos who was killed and his body buried in a shallow grave was exhumed on October 16, 2019, after being reported missing.

The police also identified the garage which the deceased was driving, was repainted, before being driven to Kilifi.
