A shooting incident occurred today, June 13, 2024, at the Makadara Law Courts in Nairobi, Kenya.
A presiding magistrate was shot by a police officer who was later identified as Chief Inspector Samson Kipchirchir Kipruto, the OCS Londiani Police Station.
The motive for the shooting is unknown, but a police report revealed that the officer was reportedly attending a court session involving his wife who accused of obtaining money by false pretense.

Police constables who responded to the incident shot and killed the officer.
Two police constables and the magistrate were injured.
They are currently receiving treatment at a hospital in Buruburu. The National Police Service is investigating the incident.
