Police Truck Crashes into A Slum

On Saturday night, a police truck plowed into homes in the Maina slum, which is located on the outskirts of Nyahururu town in Laikipia County.

Purity Mumbi, Ndururumo Assistant Chief, said the lorry driver lost control of the vehicle while driving on the Nyahururu-Rumuruti route, drove off the road, and crashed into the houses.

Members of the public, according to Mumbi, were able to free a 10-year-old boy who had been trapped under the debris.

Everyone was in the house at the time of the disaster, according to eyewitnesses.

Families from the damaged homes were unharmed, however, the youngster suffered critical injuries as a result of the catastrophe.

In severe condition, the youngster was transported to Nyahururu County Referral Hospital.

Charcoal and other home supplies were being transported in the vehicle.
