The moment that Joe Biden fell off his bike in front of a group of stunned onlookers.
The unfortunate blunder took place in Delaware this morning as the President celebrated his 45th wedding anniversary weekend away with wife Jill.
Footage shows Biden wearing a white helmet and a black top as he skirts around the corner on a peddle bike.
But at the opportune moment, the president takes a tumble in front of a flurry of press and media.
Despite the onrushing aid of his associates, the 79-year-old was unharmed in the incident and swiftly got back to his feet.
Baying fans quickly took to Twitter to react to the gaff which was shared by CNN White House Correspondent Kevin Liptak.
“Is he ok?? Oh no. Hope it’s just a bruised ego,” one wrote as another wrote “poor man.”
While a less than sympathetic third wrote: “The man can barely hobble across a room lately and folks are putting him on a bike. What could possibly go wrong?.”
The incident is just the latest in a long line of public blunders by the President which have included calling Satchel Paige “the greatest negro” to falling up the stairs of Air Force One TWICE.
As recently, as April he also said his wife was the Vice President to Barack Obama during a speech at a submarine commissioning ceremony.
Biden, the oldest president in history, has continued to prompt concern from critics who argue he could be unfit for office.
Donald Trump mentioned Biden’s slips while slamming back in March.
“People saw a lot of things happening long-prior to the press conference – and even the trip up the stairs – up and down, three times – there are a lot of things going on, so we’ll see what happens.
“I hope he’s in good shape I hope he’s OK for the sake of the country.”
Late last year Biden was seen wearing his typical navy blue suit with a cast on his right foot outside The Queen theater in Delaware.
He appeared at the venue in Wilmington to formally unveil his six-person economic team, a core group that includes veterans from previous Democratic administrations and historic firsts.
Biden was forced to wear the protective boot for “several weeks” after x-rays revealed a “hairline fracture” in his foot.
Journalists assigned to Biden first revealed the injury.
“On Saturday Nov. 28, President-elect Biden slipped while playing with his dog Major, and twisted his ankle,” a pool report said.
“Out of an abundance of caution, he will be examined this afternoon by an orthopedist.”
