President Ruto Chairs First Cabinet Meeting

President William Ruto presided over the first cabinet meeting of the fifth administration on Thursday at State House in Nairobi.

It was the President’s first meeting with the new Cabinet Secretaries following their inauguration on October 27.

However, this is the fourth cabinet meeting Ruto has presided over since being sworn in.

His first two meetings were with former Cabinet Secretaries from former President Uhuru Kenyatta’s administration.

In a transition session, Ruto also hosted the new and outgoing CSs at the State House.

Following unanimous National Assembly approval, the new Cabinet Secretaries took their oaths of office on October 27, 2022.

So far, all CSs have officially taken over their previous counterparts’ dockets.
