President William Ruto has addressed the allegations surrounding CDF Francis Ogolla’s involvement in announcing the 2022 General Elections results.
According to President Ruto, late CDF Ogolla was not among the three candidates shortlisted for the appointment as CDF following the retirement of former CDF Kibochi.
However, the President said they had a closed-door meeting with Ogolla prior to his appointment to address the general election.
“General Ogolla told me the following, Mr. President, I have no defence, I will not try to defend myself, what happened was wrong,” said Ruto.
According to Ruto, the late General presented him with three choices, among them a plea for forgiveness, have him retired from military or send him to Court Martial.
